Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes near Willits, Calif.
A shallow, magnitude-3.3 earthquake was reported Sunday morning 18 miles from Willits, Calif., in Mendocino County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 5:38 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 3.7 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 27 miles from Ukiah, 44 miles from Clearlake, 61 miles from Red Bluff, and 104 miles from Sacramento.
In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
