Earthquake: 3.1 quake strikes near Rowland Heights
A shallow magnitude 3.1 earthquake was reported Sunday evening one mile from Rowland Heights, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 7:13 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 1.9 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 1 miles from La Habra and 2 miles from Brea.
In the last 10 days, there have been two earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
