Westbound 118 Freeway reopens in Granada Hills; 1 killed in crash

A three-car crash in Granada Hills on Thursday night left one person dead, prompting all westbound lanes of the 118 Freeway to be closed for three hours, the California Highway Patrol said.
All lanes were reopened at midnight, officials said.
According to the CHP, a collision west of Balboa Boulevard caused a Honda to become engulfed in flames, killing the driver trapped inside. No other drivers or passengers were injured. The accident was reported around 9 p.m.
No other details were immediately available.
