Thousands of people are expected to turn out Sunday evening for the 84th annual Hollywood Christmas Parade, which this year will feature the magic-comedy team Penn & Teller as grand marshals.

The parade kicks off at 5 p.m. at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Orange Drive, near the TCL Chinese Theatre. The parade will head east to Vine Street, then south, and back west along Sunset Boulevard to Orange.

The parade will feature a number of floats, marching bands, including the Marine Band from San Diego, and equestrian favorites, including the Budweiser Clydesdales.

Tickets for the grandstands along Hollywood Boulevard were already sold out.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area because a number of streets will be closed adjacent to the parade route.
