Alhambra man allegedly ran brothel out of his home
A 56-year-old man has been arrested for running a brothel in his home in Alhambra, authorities said.
Alhambra police arrested Zhi Wang at a house on the 100 block of South Marguerita Avenue around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday following an investigation.
Officers found Wang and two women at the location, according to Alhambra police.
When interviewed, all three allegedly admitted the house was being used for prostitution. Wang was arrested.
The two women, 44 and 47, were not arrested, although the case is being referred to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office and the women could still face criminal charges, according to police.
Wang is in custody and scheduled to appear at the Alhambra courthouse Friday.
