Black Friday showdowns: Fight over Barbie; brawl inside Kohl’s
Apparently Ken isn’t the only person who loves Barbie.
In just one holiday shopping scrum, shoppers apparently fought Thursday night over a Barbie doll at a Wal-Mart in Norwalk, CBS Los Angeles reported. A witness said one of the shoppers even threw a punch to get her hands on Barbie.
That fight didn’t result in any arrests, though Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies responded.
But at least three other people were arrested and a woman was hospitalized overnight Friday in Tustin after a fight over deals.
Two women and a teenage girl were arrested on suspicion of assault about 1:05 a.m. after a brawl with two other women inside of Kohl’s in the 18100 block of Irvine Boulevard, Lt. Richard Wright said.
One of the two women suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, he said.
The long lines and crowds of people -- all competing for the same deals -- are “not a good combination,” Wright said.
