Northbound 405 reopens in Mission Hills after multi-vehicle crash, CHP says

All lanes of the northbound 405 Freeway in Mission Hills were closed for about one hour late Tuesday after multiple vehicles crashed and blocked traffic, authorities said.

The collision was reported just before 9 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig.

At least five vehicles were involved in the crash, including a Chevrolet Cruze, a Nissan Xterra, a Volkswagen Passat and a Nissan 300, Kravig said.

As of 10 p.m., only minor injuries were reported.

All lanes of the 405 Freeway reopened by 10:30 p.m. During the closure, traffic had been rerouted on the northbound 118 Freeway.
