Los Angeles business journalist Mark Lacter dies at 59

Mark Lacter, a longtime Los Angeles business journalist, died at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after suffering a stroke Wednesday, said his wife, Laura Levine. He was 59.
Lacter wrote regularly for Los Angeles magazine and the LAObserved website and filed weekly radio commentaries for KPCC-FM (89.3).
He had previously been editor of the Los Angeles Business Journal. At the Los Angeles Daily News, he held various posts, including business editor.
A New York native, Lacter attended George Washington University before coming to California.
