Police arrest man suspected of crashing into house in Boyle Heights

Los Angeles police arrested a man on suspicion of trying to run over someone and hitting a house in Boyle Heights.
The incident was reported about 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Pecan Street, police said.
The suspect allegedly drove up on the lawn and crashed into the house in his 1997 Toyota, police said.
Another person was outside in the area when the man hit the home, police said. That person was not injured.
The suspect tried to escape on foot, police said, but some residents were able to restrain him until police arrived.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
