Man gets 45 years to life for molesting three young family members

A 47-year-old man convicted of molesting three young family members in San Pedro was sentenced to 45 years to life in prison, prosecutors said.
Vicente Bojorquez molested two girls and a boy, all under the age of 14, between the mid-1990s and 2002, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
The molestation came to light after a female victim came forward in 2010, and soon after, other family members revealed they had also been sexually assaulted, prosecutors said.
Bojorquez was arrested during a visit to Southern California from Mexico in December 2012, and has remained in custody ever since. He was found guilty in April of six counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14, prosecutors said.
Bojorquez, who was sentenced Thursday, must also register as a sex offender for life.
