Man shot, killed in Mid-City early Monday
A man was fatally shot in Mid-City early Monday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The shooting took place on the 1400 block of South Cloverdale Avenue at around 3:30 a.m.
An altercation between the victim and suspect preceded the gunfire, authorities said.
The victim, a Latino male between the ages of 20 and 30, died at the scene, authorities said. The L.A. County coroner’s office has not yet identified the victim.
The suspect fled on foot and is being sought by authorities.
