A 24-year-old Northridge man was arrested Saturday after police said he slashed the tires on a woman’s car, broke its side-view mirror and dented its hood — all over a parking spot.
At 10:40 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot of the Islands restaurant in the 100 block of East Orange Grove Avenue, where a 35-year-old woman reportedly returned to her car after dinner to see the man, later identified as Nathakit Charutawat, damaging it, Burbank Police Officer Cindy Guillen said.

After a short altercation, the man fled, Guillen told Times Community News.
Earlier, Charutawat reportedly had wanted to park in that space. Details about who arrived near the space first were not available.
Officers located Charutawat shortly after and arrested him on suspicion of vandalism.
He was released after posting $10,000 bond and is due in court later this month.
