Newport Beach bank robber wore Prada sunglasses, police say

Police are looking for a man who wore black Prada sunglasses in a suspected robbing of a Wells Fargo bank branch in Newport Beach on Monday morning.
A man in his mid-20s wearing a gray T-shirt and black sunglasses entered the Wells Fargo bank in the 3600 block of East Coast Highway at 10:26 a.m., said Newport Beach police spokeswoman Jennifer Manzella.
He exited the branch after one minute without conducting a transaction, according to Times Community News.
He returned to the bank 10 minutes later and handed one of the tellers a note demanding cash, Manzella said.
The man did not appear to be armed. After obtaining the cash, he fled on foort north on Orchid Avenue, she said.
Police initially estimated that he allegedly stole $500, but after further investigation they found the estimate to be incorrect. Manzella could not confirm the amount of money stolen.
