One person dies in Jurupa Valley home fire
One person died after a fire swept through a Jurupa Valley home Thursday morning, authorities said.
Firefighters were called to the 6300 block of Jade Street at 6:47 a.m. for a residential structure fire that was quickly contained, fire officials said. Coroner’s officials said investigators are at the scene but that they had no information about the gender and age of the victim.
But CBS2 reported that the victim was an elderly woman.
Estimated damage to the home is $25,000, according to Jody Hagemann, Riverside County Fire spokeswoman. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
