Sheriff’s deputies investigate South L.A. double shooting
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies are investigating a South L.A. shooting that left one woman dead and a man wounded Tuesday night.
Minutes before 11 p.m., officials said, a man and woman in the 10900 block of South Hobart Boulevard in Westmont were shot. The woman, who officials said was in her late 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity was being withheld until her family could be notified, the county coroner said.
The other victim was taken to a local hospital, officials said. His condition was not immediately known.
Investigators said they did not immediately have a motive for the shooting.
