SWAT officers have surrounded a home in Boyle Heights after a man allegedly pointed a handgun at someone during a party and then barricaded himself inside, Los Angeles police said.

Officers received a call about an “assault with a deadly weapon” at 3 a.m. and responded to the scene at the 2500 block of Fairmount Street, police said.

They were told at least three assailants had left the party after a fight and then came back with guns in the early morning, according to a watch commander at the Hollenbeck Station.
