Child’s Play

When you have a toddler, making pictures can become an afterthought to the other things you have to handle. Unless you’re graphic designer Claire Teschel Konishi -- then your visual life relates and intertwines to your everyday.

Our #CaliforniaMoments are filled with lovely moments that make up the collection of our lives. Sometimes the quieter ones travel too swiftly past, but Konishi has a knack for preserving these moments. In this image, she found her toddler constructing her new train set which, with the imagination and spirit of a child, included an array of flowers. It makes sense; the trains need to be surrounded by good landscaping, too. Who knows, maybe we have a future city planner, a transportation guru or a landscape architect in the making.

Konishi took this photo using her iPhone 5.
