Wow. Just wow. When I first saw this image by Art Abelyan, I showed everyone around me. I was deeply mesmerized by this yogi / dancer, Lamonte Tales Goode doing this difficult feat with Los Angeles as the backdrop. The body being so precisely straight and just thinking about the tough concrete is enchanting. And the eyes are captivating. The photograph is one that begs to shared.

Russian-born Abelyan is passionate about dancing and knew that allowing his subject to express his creativity would make the photo more interesting. When Goode told him what he planned on doing, Abelyan knew, he would purposefully frame his subject to be in between the pillars. He set out to make a moment that would not be easily duplicated and the result is a photograph that makes you do a doubletake.

Abelyan used a Canon 5D Mark III Camera.
