Letters: OK, D.C., time to compromise

Re “House speaker softens tone on budget crisis,” Nov. 8
I have a message for President Obama and House Speaker John A. Boehner: Half the country voted for the other guy.
It’s time to get off the stump, listen to what the other half of the country has to say and do the job we hired you to do: Find a compromise. And, by the way, a compromise is not saying yes only to what you want and what makes you comfortable. It’s saying yes to some of what the others want and what makes them comfortable.
If both sides do that, we can go forward with everyone sharing some of the good and some of the bad.
