Readers React: What’s in a name? Ask Jeb Bush.

To the editor: It’s not surprising that Jeb Bush is circumventing campaign fundraising rules to maximize his coffers. What is surprising, however, is that he hasn’t taken advantage of his least expensive and likely most effective option for boosting his chances at winning the White House. (“Presidential candidates-to-be make the most of fundraising rule-bending,” April 6)

For a few hundred dollars, Bush can legally change his last name. The process takes several months, but he probably knows people who could expedite it.
