Quentin expected back for Sox’s road trip
Carlos Quentin missed his second straight start for the White Sox Sunday because of a bruised left knee, but manager Ozzie Guillen said “I expect him to play” Monday when the Sox begin a road trip in Texas.
Quentin had four hits in his last seven at-bats before he was a late scratch Saturday, when he was tied for the American League lead in doubles with 16.
The Sox should feel right at home going on another road trip, this one to Texas, Toronto and Boston. By the time it is over, they will have been through a stretch of 30 road games, with just 13 at U.S. Cellular Field.
