Dodgers look to close out season’s first half with another win
With a win over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday, the final day of the season’s first half, the Dodgers could find themselves two games over .500 for the first time since April 14, when they were 7-5.
The Dodgers are finishing up a four-game series with the Rockies; Zack Greinke pitched the Dodgers to a 1-0 victory in Saturday’s game, guaranteeing at least a split of the four games, and ensuring that this series will be the eighth consecutive that the Dodgers either win or split.
Los Angeles will send Rialto native Ricky Nolasco to the mound in just his second start for the team since being acquired from the Marlins last weekend. Nolasco, who went seven strong innings for a win and added two hits in his Dodger debut, will face Rockies right-hander Jhoulys Chacin.
