Ducks add depth with signings of Jared Boll, Mason Raymond and Jeff Schultz
The Ducks signed free-agent forwards Jared Boll and Mason Raymond and defenseman Jeff Schultz.
Boll signed a two-year, one-way contract, meaning he would have to clear waivers to be sent to the minors. Raymond and Schultz each have one-year contracts and can be reassigned without waivers.
The signings are among several expected depth moves by the Ducks, who are budgeting to re-sign Rickard Rakell and Hampus Lindholm and sign a backup goalie.
Raymond and Boll had the final seasons of their contracts bought out by the Calgary Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets, respectively. Raymond is a former 25-goal scorer with Vancouver and played for Ducks Coach Randy Carlyle with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Schultz spent the past three seasons in the Kings organization and played seven playoff games during their 2014 Stanley Cup run. Boll is the Blue Jackets’ all-time leader in penalty minutes.
