Baseball: It’s a meeting of former Loyola Cubs in the Ivy League
- Share via
Once a Cub, aways Cub, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t a little competition taking place in the Ivy League over the weekend when two former Loyola Cubs faced off.
On Saturday, it was Dartmouth’s Dustin Shirley (Loyola ‘14) facing Princeton’s Chad Powers (Loyola ‘13).
Shirley got two hits off Powers, but Princeton won the game in 10 innings, 9-8.
Both had great games. Shirley finished with five hits. Powers threw seven shutout innings. Afterward they probably debated over who had the higher GPA at Loyola.
