Football: Fallout from Servite-Edison dispute

Share

At the conclusion of last week’s Edison-Servite game won by the Friars, Edison Coach Dave White was upset, because the Friars were passing the ball in the final two minutes of a 42-21 victory.

While White was talking to Servite Coach A.J. Gass after the game, a Servite assistant allegedly told White, “Coach better and go back to Huntington Beach.”

“It was frustrating,” said White, who has always looked forward to playing the Friars. “It was a weird deal.”

Since the game, two Servite assistants have been disciplined, Gass said.

“I was disappointed,” Gass said.
