Football: Gardena Serra to host weekly passing competitions in May
Gardena Serra, expected to have one of the top football teams in the Southland this fall, will be holding a weekly seven on seven passing competition every Wednesday in May. That’s the month college coaches can come out and watch, so get ready for the sidelines to be crowded.
City Section title favorite Narbonne also will participate each Wednesday. Two other schools will join Serra and Narbonne each week.
Serra is loaded at the skill positions, led by quarterback Khalil Tate (Arizona commit) and receivers Brandon Burton and Chris Pollard.
