What can Tyler Ashoff of Newport Harbor do for an encore during his senior year?
He’s one of the school’s valedictorians and is headed to MIT.
In rowing, he won the Southwest regionals in the single scull and is set to compete at the U.S. Rowing Youth National Championships on June 13-15 at Lake Natoma in Northern California.
His coach, Xeno Muller, said, “It is truly a privilege to work with such an outstanding athlete in a sport that is easily dominated by rowers who are 8 inches taller than Tyler and 50 pounds heavier.”
