Kings today
AT WASHINGTON
When: 9:30 a.m. PST
Where: Verizon Center.
On the air: TV: FS West, Radio: 1150.
Records: Kings 29-22-3, Capitals 29-16-10.
Record vs. Capitals (2009-10): 1-0-0.
Update: Jonathan Bernier is scheduled to start in goal for the Kings, who are 2-0-2 in a stretch of 10 consecutive road games. Bernier is winless in his last two starts, but the Kings scored only one goal in those games. His last win was a 24-save performance against Edmonton on Jan. 15. Left wing Marco Sturm remains on injured reserve and won’t play. The Capitals expect to regain defenseman Mike Green, who was struck on the head by a shot Feb. 6 and missed the team’s 2-0 loss to San Jose on Tuesday. That was the eighth time the Capitals were shut out this season, the most since they were blanked 11 times in the 1998-99 season.
