Getting Steve Nash back means worst is over for Lakers

Share

Our live Google+ Hangout today at 11:30 a.m. was a roundtable discussion on the Lakers and Clippers, with the big topic being: Is the worst over for the Lakers?

Times Lakers blogger Eric Pincus says no, for one big reason: They are getting Steve Nash back.

“Nash knows how to run the Mike D’Antoni system. The Lakers have only played half a game this season with Nash, so getting him back will be huge.”

And, as Pincus wrote earlier this week,

“The Lakers have been forced to play through injuries to Steve Nash (leg), Pau Gasol (knees), Steve Blake (abdominal surgery) and now Jordan Hill (back spasms).

“Considering how desolate the road had become after four straight losses, the Lakers have found areas of strength. Now Gasol appears to be ready to return, with Nash, in theory, soon after.

“The Lakers may have reached their lowest point of the season and now, with 57 games left, the team has a lot to play for.”
