Update: The last time UCLA beat Missouri was during the 1995 NCAA tournament, when UCLA trailed by a point with 4.8 seconds left in the game and Tyus Edney dribbled the length of the court to score the winning basket at the buzzer. The Bruins went on to win their 11th NCAA title (and their most recent one). The Tigers won the most recent meeting, 82-73, also during the NCAA tournament in 2002. Missouri, a new member of the Southeastern Conference, is ranked No. 7 in the nation and has a pair of Californians on the roster. Senior guard Keion Bell is a Los Angeles native and transfer who scored 24 points with Pepperdine against UCLA during the 2010-11 season. Jabari Brown from Oakland transferred to Missouri just after he began last season as a highly regarded signee with Oregon. Brown, in only his third game, had a career-high 18 points in a win over Illinois last week. Another transfer, 6-foot-9 Alex Oriakhi, from Connecticut, is averaging 10.8 points and 9.1 rebounds a game.
