Lane Kiffin earned $2.4 million, Kevin O’Neill $1.7 mil in 2010

USC football Coach Lane Kiffin earned about $2.4 million, basketball Coach Kevin O’Neill about $1.7 million and assistant football coach Monte Kiffin about $1.5 million in total compensation in 2010, according to USC’s federal tax return.

The period covers July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011. Records for 2011 are not available.

Lane Kiffin was hired to replace Pete Carroll in January 2010 after earning a reported $2 million during his only season at Tennessee in 2009.

In 2010, USC paid Lane Kiffin a base salary of $2,077,629. He also earned a $100,000 bonus, $185,711 in other reportable income, $24,500 in retirement and other deferred compensation and $18,665 in nontaxable benefits.

O’Neill was hired in June 2009 after Tim Floyd resigned. In 2010, O’Neill was paid a base salary of $1,472,882. He earned $163,623 in other reportable income, $24,500 in retirement and other deferred compensation and $21,290 in nontaxable benefits.

Monte Kiffin, who is Lane’s father and oversees the Trojans defense, made $1,499,365 in base salary, $42,426 in other reportable income, $24,500 in retirement and deferred compensation and $13,473 in nontaxable benefits.
