Utah State outlasts No. 19 Louisiana Tech in overtime, 48-41

Utah State 48, at No. 19 Louisiana Tech 41 (OT): Kerwynn Williams scored on a four-yard touchdown run to give Aggies a lead in overtime and Utah State stopped the Bulldogs on four plays to clinch at least a share of the Western Athletic Conference championship. Chuckie Keeton threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns for the Aggies (9-2, 5-0), who let a 24-point, third-quarter lead slip away against the Bulldogs (9-2, 4-1). A pass by Louisiana Tech’s Colby Cameron was intercepted late in the second quarter, snapping his NCAA-record streak of 445 attempts without an interception. Cameron completed 35 of 60 passes for 396 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

at Boise State 42, Colorado State 14: Senior D.J. Harper went untouched on an 80-yard run on the Broncos’ first play and they never looked back. Boise State (9-2, 6-1 Mountain West) scored on five of its six first-half possessions against the Rams (3-8, 2-5) to keep its conference title hopes alive.

Nevada 31, at New Mexico 24: Nevada’s Cody Fajardo threw three touchdown passes and ran for a career-high 186 yards to help the Wolf Pack (7-4, 4-3 MWC) end a three-game losing streak. The Lobos (4-8, 1-6), who have lost five straight, got 72 rushing yards and two touchdowns from quarterback Cole Gautsche, but he didn’t complete either of his passes.

Wyoming 28, at Nevada Las Vegas 23: After a career-performance last week, Cowboys quarterback Brett Smith bested that by completing 25 of 33 passes for 412 yards and three touchdowns. Wyoming (4-7 overall, 3-4 MWC) has won three in a row after losing its previous four, while the Rebels fell to 2-10, 2-5.

at Navy 21, Texas State 10: Noah Copeland ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns as the Midshipmen (7-4) won for the sixth time in seven games. The Bobcats (3-7) dropped their last four in a row.

at Rice 36, Southern Methodist 14: Taylor McHargue threw two touchdown passes and Chris Boswell kicked five field goals, three from longer than 50 yards, as the Owls (5-6, 3-4 Conference USA) kept their bowl hopes alive. McHargue passed for 297 yards and also ran for a touchdown.
