Has Ndamukong Suh become more trouble than he’s worth?

Ndamukong Suh is in trouble for something he did on the football field ... again.

The Detroit Lions defensive tackle has also been cited for a traffic violation ... again.

His most recent on- and off-field incidents weren’t even his worse. Lathrup Village Police Chief William Armstrong told the Associated Press on Monday that Suh’s driving on Nov. 15 may not fit the charge of driving without due care and caution for which Suh was cited.

Armstrong said he was waiting to discuss the case with the city attorney before deciding whether or not the citation would hold up.

Suh has been involved in numerous traffic incidents over the years. Do you think those had anything to do with an officer possibly getting a little carried away when issuing him a ticket?

On the field last Thursday, Suh got in hot water for kicking Houston quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin. The NFL announced Monday that Suh would not be suspended -- which must have been good news for the Lions, who lost the former No. 2 overall draft pick for two games last season after he stomped on the right arm of Green Bay offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith.

But the NFL said it still might issue a fine, something Suh has surely gotten used to by now.

The whole thing is giving me a headache just writing about it, so just think how the Lions must feel. Is this guy really worth it? Suh hasn’t performed up to the standard he set during his Pro Bowl rookie season in 2010.

Plus, even if he cleans up his act, is he ever going to be able to overcome the bad-boy image he has created for himself? Just look at what happened to Baltimore safety Ed Reed, who was labeled a headhunter by the NFL and initially suspended (later reduced to a fine) for a hit some feel wasn’t even worthy of a penalty flag.

What do you think -- has the time come for the Lions to say enough is enough with Suh?
