Clippers tonight

VS. NEW ORLEANS

When: 7:30.

Where: Staples Center.

On the air: TV: Prime Ticket; Radio: 980.

Records: Clippers 17-9, Pelicans 11-11, before Tuesday night’s game

Record vs. Pelicans (2012-13): 3-1.

Update: This will be Doc Rivers’ first game against his son Austin, a second-year Pelicans guard, since becoming the Clippers’ coach. It’s not something he relishes. “I thought it would be really cool to coach against your son,” Rivers said recently, “and then in the middle of the game I realized I didn’t enjoy that, I didn’t like that. That was no fun for me. When your son makes a basket, as a parent you should be able to cheer, and he made one big bucket and I wanted to smack him, and that’s no fun, that’s not right. So, [it’s] not natural.” Austin Rivers scored a season-high 17 points Sunday during New Orleans’ loss to the Denver Nuggets.
