NBA looking ahead: Miami plays at New York on Sunday
Looking ahead
MIAMI AT NEW YORK, 10 a.m. PST Sunday. TV: Channel 7.
It’s time to find out if the Knicks really are 20 points better than the Heat. That was the margin of victory for New York in the first two meetings between the teams this season. Of course, that was before Miami embarked on its current 13-game winning streak and the Knicks started to resemble a .500 team, winning only five of their last 10 games. New York Coach Mike Woodson had Jason Kidd come off the bench for only the second time this season Friday against Washington, saying he wanted the veteran point guard to run the reserve unit as opposed to sharing the ball with starting point guard Raymond Felton.
