The Lakers’ game notes for Friday night’s contest in Dallas list Kobe Bryant as questionable because of a sore back.

But Bryant said after the Lakers’ loss to the Magic in Orlando on Wednesday that he was hoping to play against the Mavericks.

He did not play in Orlando or in Tuesday night’s loss in Miami due to back problems.

“It’s still too tight,” Bryant said in Orlando. “I stretched it out as much as I can. I iced it out as much as I can. Hopefully by Friday I’ll be ready. It just has to go away. The back pain just has to go away.”

Bryant has had three days to rest and get treatment on his back since he last played in a game, on Sunday in New York. The Lakers didn’t practice Thursday because they flew from Orlando to Dallas.

The Lakers are 1-3 on their current five-game road trip, which concludes in Dallas.
