No. 23 Western Michigan overpowers Ball State, 52-20

Corey Davis caught 12 passes for a conference-record 272 yards with three touchdowns Tuesday night to help No. 23 Western Michigan beat Ball State, 52-20, at Muncie, Ind.

The Broncos (9-0, 5-0 Mid-American Conference) won their 11th straight game.

James Gilbert had 155 yards in 29 carries for Ball State (4-5, 1-4).

Northern Illinois prevails

Joel Bouagnon set a career-high with five rushing touchdowns and Northern Illinois beat Bowling Green, 45-20, at DeKalb, Ill.

Northern Illinois (3-6, 3-2 Mid-American) had 286 yards rushing.

James Morgan threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns for Bowling Green (1-8, 0-5).
