Serge Ibaka hits game winner in return to Oklahoma City

Serge Ibaka’s baseline jump shot with 0.4 seconds left lifted the Orlando Magic to a 119-117 victory over the host Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

Ibaka, who was traded from the Thunder to the Magic in the off-season, scored a career-high 31 points to go with nine rebounds and four blocks.

With the score tied in the final minute, Russell Westbrook missed a pull-up jumper, and Orlando rebounded and called time out with 11 seconds remaining to set up Ibaka’s shot.

Westbrook had 41 points, 16 assists and 12 rebounds for his third triple-double this season and 40th of his career.

It was the third consecutive loss for the Thunder, all at home, after a 6-1 start.

at Golden State 133, Phoenix 120: Klay Thompson hit a go-ahead three-point basket with 4 minutes 31 seconds to play and another with 3:13 remaining to score a season-high 30 points, and Stephen Curry also had 30 points for the Warriors. Kevin Durant finished with 29 points, nine rebounds and five assists to help Golden State avoid a second home loss at this early stage that would have matched their total of two defeats at Oracle Arena in each of the last two regular seasons. Eric Bledsoe and T.J. Warren scored 20 points apiece to lead six players in double figures for the Suns.

at Cleveland 100, Charlotte 93: LeBron James sparked a fourth-quarter comeback with 11 points and five assists in the final period, and Channing Frye finished with a season-high 20 points for the Cavaliers. Kemba Walker scored 21 points for the Hornets, who have lost two games in a row. James finished with 19 points and Kevin Love had 17, but neither played in the fourth quarter as Coach Tyronn Lue stuck with the group that helped Cleveland take control of the game.

at Portland 112, Denver 105: Damian Lillard scored 32 points and the Trail Blazers handed the Nuggets their fourth loss in a row. CJ McCollum had 21 points for Portland, which has won five of its last six games. Jamal Murray made a three-pointer to pull Denver within 110-105 in the final seconds, but the rally came up short. It was the Trail Blazers’ seventh consecutive victory over the Nuggets at the Moda Center. Murray and Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets with 19 points apiece.
