NBA roundup: Warriors edge Bucks to win seventh in a row

Kevin Durant scored 33 points, Klay Thompson had 25 of his 29 in the second half, and the Golden State Warriors held on to beat the Milwaukee Bucks, 124-121, Saturday night in Milwaukee for their seventh straight victory.

The Warriors led by as much as 14 before Jabari Parker and Giannis Antetokounmpo led a 13-4 run in the fourth quarter that cut it to 122-120 with about 2 1/2 minutes left on Parker’s three-point play.

Rowdy Bucks fans had designs of an upset of Golden State at the Bradley Center, just like last season.

The teams exchanged empty possessions before Draymond Green’s sparkling defensive effort with 10 seconds left. Green tipped away an inbounds pass intended for Antetokounmpo, with Thompson getting fouled after securing the loose ball.

Thompson hit both free throws with eight seconds left for a four-point lead.

Antetokounmpo finished with 30 points, while Parker had 28.

Boston 94, at Detroit 92: The Celtics won on Al Horford’s follow shot with 1.3 seconds left. The Pistons suffered their first home loss.

at Philadelphia 120, Phoenix 105: The 76ers are 3-10, solid progress for a team that started 0-18 last season, didn’t collect its third win until Dec. 30 and finished 10-72.

at Houston 111, Utah 102: James Harden had 31 points and 10 assists for the Rockets.

at New Orleans 121, Charlotte 116 (OT): Anthony Davis had 38 points, and the Pelicans erased a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit.

Miami 114, at Washington 111: Goran Dragic scored 22 points, and Hassan Whiteside had 18 plus 18 rebounds for the Heat.

at Memphis 93, Minnesota 71: The Grizzlies held the Timberwolves to season lows in points and field-goal shooting (39.1%).

at Orlando 95, Dallas 87: D.J. Augustin scored 18 for the Magic.
