Chivas USA to take on Columbus Crew on Sunday

Records: Chivas USA 6-14-6, Crew 8-9-9.
Record vs. Crew (2013): 0-1-0.
Update: This is the only regular-season game between these interconference rivals and it’s been a lengthy period since they last met. Columbus won their sole meeting last year, 3-0, in the season opener March 2. Chivas is trying to break a string of eight consecutive losses but the club remains without its top scorer, Erick Torres, who is playing with Mexico’s national team. The game does represent a homecoming of sorts for Chivas USA forward Ryan Finley, who moved to Chivas USA in May from Columbus. The Crew, fifth in the Eastern Conference, is coming off a 2-0 loss to Montreal on Aug. 30.
