Update: This is the second of three regular-season games between these clubs fighting for postseason berths in the Western Conference, and the second-place Galaxy can clinch a playoff spot with a win. The Galaxy won the teams’ first meeting, 2-1, on May 21 at StubHub Center. Galaxy star forward Landon Donovan will return to action after being suspended a game because of an excessive number of yellow cards. The Galaxy played to a 1-1 tie in that game against the San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday, extending the Galaxy’s unbeaten streak to seven games. FC Dallas is coming off a 2-1 home win against the Vancouver Whitecaps a week ago.
