The Galaxy will be without forward Robbie Keane for a May 29 game in Montreal, and possibly longer, after their captain was one of 35 players called up to the Irish national team Thursday.

Keane, Ireland’s all-time leading scorer, is on the roster for a May 27 friendly with the Netherlands in Dublin. After the game, Coach Martin O’Neill will cut his roster to 23 players for the 2016 European Championship tournament, which begins for Ireland on June 13 in France.

The Galaxy likely will also be without forwards Gyasi Zardes and Giovani dos Santos for much of June.
