Update: Chivas USA, officially eliminated Wednesday from a playoff race it unofficially exited more than a month ago, can all but end FC Dallas’ postseason hopes as well with a win Sunday. But Chivas would have to score to accomplish that, and the Western Conference cellar-dwellers haven’t found the back of the net in their last 532 minutes, the fourth-longest scoreless streak in MLS history. Chivas is working a couple of other historic streaks as well, having lost a franchise-record seven consecutive games as part of a team-record 11-game winless streak. In its seven consecutive losses Chivas has been outscored 18-1. The team’s 21 goals scored is the lowest in the league.
