Update: The Galaxy ends its three-game trip against a New York team that sits atop Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference. The Galaxy arrived in the Big Apple with momentum, having defeated the Union in Philadelphia, 4-1, on Wednesday with its powerful front line back together. Landon Donovan — who arrived late this season — proclaimed he felt like his “old self” after his goal and two assists against the Union, and forward Robbie Keane returned from an ankle injury to score a goal of his own. New York has won four of its last five games and settled for a draw in the other.
