Barry Bonds joins Twitter; critics step up to the plate
Controversial baseball record holder Barry Bonds joined Twitter on Wednesday and was hammered by critics on the social media platform.
As of Thursday night, Bonds had sent only three tweets but had gained 7,886 followers to the 23 he is following.
Bonds is considered by many to be one of the best players the game has ever seen. However, he is despised by just as many who consider him a cheat who used steroids during his career. Bonds faced multiple legal battles for his part in the league's steroid scandal.
Those on Twitter who saw he joined, let him have it pretty quickly.
Of course, there were fans who were glad to see Bonds had joined.
