Clippers lose to Utah Jazz, fall to 0-3 in preseason
The Clippers lost their third exhibition game this preseason, falling to the Utah Jazz, 102-89, on Monday night in Salt Lake City.
The Clippers (0-3), who trailed by as many as 19 points, cut the deficit to five before they gave up way too many high-percentage shots late in the game.
The Jazz shot 50.6% from the field and made 14 of 30 three-point attempts. In games on Sunday and Monday, the Clippers gave up 31 three-pointers. So much for perimeter defense.
The Jazz also outrebounded the Clippers, 55-32.
Blake Griffin had a game-high 31 points on 14-of-22 shooting, as well as five rebounds.
After a slow start, Chris Paul had a strong third quarter and finished with 11 points and 11 assists. J.J. Redick added 17 points on six-for-11 shooting.
