UCLA football: Eric Kendricks sits out practice
UCLA linebacker Eric Kendricks was at practice Tuesday morning, but more as a spectator.
Kendricks, the Bruins’ leading tackler, injured his shoulder against Oregon on Saturday. He was not in pads Tuesday, though Coach Jim Mora has said that he expects Kendricks to play this week against Colorado.
It was the second consecutive week that Kendricks, a junior, left a game. He took a hit to his back the previous week against Stanford and was taken to the hospital to have his kidney checked. Tests were negative.
Still, he needed a shot of painkiller to play against Oregon.
Tackle Simon Goines, (knee) and tackle Connor McDermott (shoulder) were also not in uniform. Goines starts at left tackle and McDermott is his backup.
