Watch Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh throw a sideline tirade [video]
Jim Harbaugh was surprisingly calm, almost serene, in his Michigan coaching debut last week at Utah. He even said his players were being too hard on themselves after a tough defeat.
Harbaugh must have been storing his emotions for Saturday’s home debut against Oregon State. He almost threw out his shoulder when he violently flipped his play card away after a roughing-the-kicker call on his team.
“Maybe I stand to be corrected,” Harbaugh, admitting he might have been wrong, said after the game.
Michigan started slowly but ultimately cruised to a 35-7 win over a young Oregon State team.
Michigan fans hope Harbaugh’s first win is the first of many for a program that notched program victory No. 916, most all-time among major colleges.
