Pac-12 media day: Lane Kiffin will continue to call plays for USC
- Share via
There will be a new starting quarterback, a new defensive coordinator and other changes at USC this season.
But one thing will not change: Coach Lane Kiffin will continue to call the plays.
“It’s in the best interest of our football team for me to continue to call plays,” Kiffin said Friday at Pac-12 Conference media day in Culver City.
Kiffin said after the Trojans’ 7-6 season and throughout the spring that he would evaluate the play-calling situation.
“When you call plays, you have a unique relationship with your players, especially your skill guys,” Kiffin said.
The Trojans open training camp Aug. 3.
