Michael Jordan takes over Hornets’ account and a Twitter star is born

Share

NBA legend Michael Jordan seems to be good at everything he tries, or at least he's always entertaining.

M.J. took what he said was his first crack at social media Tuesday when he ran the Twitter account of the Charlotte Hornets, the team he owns.

The Hornets open the regular season at home against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.

The Hall of Famer even took a selfie to make sure people knew it was really him running the account. Jordan appeared to be having a ball, taking viewers all around the Time Warner Cable Arena.

It didn't take long for #MJTakeover to trend as people got an inside look at the players, staff and facility as they prepare for the start of the regular season.

Jordan took time to exchange some zings with another professional athlete who noticed he was running the account.

And Jordan didn't sub-tweet the media -- he just addressed them directly.
